Quiddich Match, Cedar Rapids, May 26th, 2012

The Iowa State University Quidditch Club team members Brandon Trent and Chris Weber practice their game Saturday afternoon at Greene Square Park in downtown Cedar Rapids. Quiddich, a semi-contact sport features matches played between two teams of seven players riding broomsticks, using four balls and six elevated ring-shaped goals, three on each side of the Quidditch pitch. The game was adapted by Middlebury College students in 2005 from the Harry Potter book and movie series, and is now played at over 300 universities and high schools in the United States and 12 other countries.
