Harlan Ranshaw celebrates his 90th birthday with family at the Ranshaw House in North Liberty on Sunday, August 2, 2015. Ranshaw gave a tour of the house that is on the National Registry of Historic Places and owned by the City of North Liberty. His grandfather, Samuel Ranshaw built the house in 1908 for $8,000 on 38 acres, much of which is now occupied by Highway 965, Zeller St, and the North Liberty Recreation Center.
